When I decided to be a teacher, I was sure I wanted to teach children at primary school. I absolutely believe that was the best decision I ever made because I cannot imagine doing any other job with this much satisfaction and happiness.

Apart from the pleasure of helping them learn, their innocent gestures and love makes this profession even more wonderful. It can be something as simple as a flower that they have plucked from their garden for me.
Children are curious and they ask all kind of questions. I find them funny and genuine, and at the same time they are observing us. I have tried to be as positive and honest to them as I could because I know they are watching me. It helps me be a better version of myself.
In all my 15 years of teaching career in Daffodils School and 5 years of experience in Gokulam Public School, I have tried to listen to my children and be kind to them, and help them learn to be better human beings than gaining higher grades.
I am elated to see my kids grow into successful individuals and share their happiness with me. I don't think any other profession would have given me that ecstasy.
I keep on learning from them and it helps me stay young and positive. Even during the pandemic, despite the difficulties of online classes, it is the spirit of the children to overcome these hurdles that keeps me going.
